There are no bees in Death Valley
The valley has no insect capable of pollinating a date palm. The grove at Furnace Creek grew fruit anyway, every year, because somebody climbed every tree and did it by hand — and the commercial harvest ended in 1996, forty-two years before anything in this book goes wrong.
⏳ A törzs még nincs megírva. ⭐ A csattanó a kánonban már ki van dolgozva: „Álltak, zölden, és nem adtak semmit. Dísznek tartották őket. Az működött." — a kéz jóval a víz előtt állt le.

When Even Machines Prayed for Rain is an interactive gamebook set in 2052, on a road across the American Southwest. Every location in it is a real place, and notes like this one are what happens when the real place refuses to behave.

Every place in this book is real. Every two weeks you get one of them: what is actually there — the spring, the ruin, the numbers, the coordinates you can open in a map — and the decision the book puts in front of you when you arrive.
What that decision costs, you find out when you play. Seven letters, then silence until there is something to try. Subscribers get the playable opening first.
You'll get a confirmation email first — the list only stores addresses that confirm. One click to unsubscribe. See the privacy notice.
